Looking for companies:

Welcome to the Innovation Challenge!

We are Innovation by Kaizen, an innovation consulting company and we're thrilled to announce an Innovation Challenge on behalf of our client, a large food retailer.

This Scouting Challenge seeks a partner or supplier to provide systems or expertise to solve the Seeker’s business challenge; the Solver is invited to submit a written proposal to be evaluated by the Seeker.

Seeker is a multinational company operating in the food retail sector, with convenience stores and large-scale stores selling food and non-food products to the end consumer.

CONTEXT

Our convenience stores have long check-out times. In our convenience stores, payment is made at tills assisted by an operator (there are no self-checkout tills).

CHALLENGE

Our aim is to identify ideas or solutions that will enable us to reduce customer check-out times.

MATURITY LEVEL

Desired level: 4-6

Solvers are encouraged to propose concepts, solutions and technologies, or your knowledge and expertise that have already been tested and could be implemented in this context as needed.

If the answer is a tech solution we are aiming to find the ideas with an experiment in a short period of time without the need of a lot of resoruces (naming money) and low dependency of internal IT and other internal departments.

Scale:

1-3: The fundamental ideas, research or concepts to ideate, fuel strategy or determine potential innovation opportunities

4-6: The proposed solutions or methods that can solve the more specific criteria, needs and requirements

7-9: The potential partner with the system or expertise to implement a ready solution

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a Scouting Challenge, which has the following features:

1. The Seeker will evaluate your submission to determine their interest to contact you for further business and collaboration discussions.

2. If further contact is requested, you can negotiate the terms of the contract (including scope of work, tasks and duration) directly with the Seeker.

3. The monetary value of any contract will vary depending on the amount of work to be delivered and the agreed upon time frame.
